YEEAAAHHHHH BABAY!!! - 19-Sep-2004
Well, it's been quite an adventure. Summer's finally over, 5-6 nights a week mostly down the shore culminating with 3 in a row in L.B.I. with Blasted...we need a break!!!! But at the same time, mad daytime rehearsals for Majorette (formerly Blend Engine) as we get ready to do some showcases in Sept/Oct. Thanx to everyone who came down to the Whiskey and CBGB shows! It was rockin' and rollin and 2 shows no broken strings!!!! (I must be "maturing"). We will keep you informed of upcoming gigs via email and I'll be damned if i don't get some music up here soon what with my new server and all....

Almost there, just a few more seconds... - 9-Jun-2004
Well, I should be done w/ the Blend Engine record today or tomorrow...just a few more bit parts to do. It sounds really good, got some huge guitars on there. This week I go headfirst into 5 in a row climaxing with a 3-Peace reunion @ the Ericka Zwickel benefit @ Bar A on sunday. All the heads will be there... Blasted and Lifespeed are both playing, plus we gotta big show @ Jenkinson's this thursday, Big one for BLASTED! Alright see ya in the trenches!

Still going.... - 28-May-2004
Like the Energizer bunny, people. I never see the light of day. Close to wrapping up the Blend Engine record @ Mirror Image in a few days. A short reprieve then we start the Scarlett record for Navarre. Just finished up her single "Generation Zero" which will be the 2004 X-Games theme song as well as being used in a Verizon Wireless ad campaign. Let's see what else, BLUR, BLUR
oh, J3 acoustic show @ Whiskey (will post pics soon, also got audio) and 2 slamming shows with Blasted: Bar A in Belmar and Quaterdeck in LBI. Both were totally packed and had great PA's, so fun was had by all. I will see you out there somewhere...maybe at Poor Billy's tonight! Peace!

I'm whooped - 21-May-2004
Hey kids! Still tracking @ Mirror Image w/ Blend Engine. Gettin' into some serious guitar overdubs now. Sounds HUGE. Also I will be playing on a track(this just in...I'm now doing the whole record in July!!!) for new solo artist, "Scarlett", her first single will be the lead/theme song for the 2004 X-Games. Pretty cool. When it rains...Got to check out Tommy's nuclear DJ set @ SouthPark w/ DJ Aero from Methods of Mayhem, it was slamming, not that the mall town crowd had any idea what they were doing...several guys in the bathroom were convinced that he was an imposter and not actually T.Lee at all. But they already have it all figured out. Pioneer hooked them up with some next-level gear, a pretty insane beatslicer/FX controller that Tommy put to good use morphing the audio from several sources and Aero's turntables, they would get something crazy going and then Tommy would sit down and play drums over it. Bad AS FUck...one bad bitch. The Jager was flowing....Bozza was in the hizzle with the Pirate. See y'all @ Bar A tonight with Blasted. AH REEVA DARE CHI!!
You can find me, I'll be hanging out at the Man-CHUN.

J3 in studio w/Blend Engine - 13-May-2004
Amid mondo gigs with Blasted, I have been recording all week with NY rockers Blend Engine at Mirror Image studios in Manhattan. What's up Kat and Dre!! Things are going well and we will continue tracking until the end of the month. Just finished drum tracks with Kenny from Candiria. He's a motherf**cker on drums (as well as alot of other instruments) and it was awesome tracking with him. We start getting serious with guitars next week. The album will be coming out on Dave Bendeth's
Type A/Sony/Red record label with David producing. Ironic to be working with David as he showed interest in signing Sect.8 to RCA back in 2000. Go figure! Don't forget to drop by Texas Arizona this thursday for J3 and Walter Stacy's (of Big Orange Cone) Beautiful Disaster acoustic booze-fest happy-hour acoustic show!!! and ...oh J3 solo acoustic live @ Whiskey Bar tuesday the 25th! See ya....

WHEW What a week! - 11-May-2004
Well, OK then. Where do I begin? I would first like to thank everyone who came out to The Sect.8 reunion show as well as those behind the scenes and helping out on the tech end. It was quite an undertaking in every aspect, and everyone pulled through for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I didn't even break a string...which must be some kind of record. (I don't think we EVER did a Sect.8 show where I didn't break one within 6 songs.) AMAZING. The footage looks great (we did a 3 camera shoot) and I can't wait to start editing. Big Ups to Goggleman, his excellent camera crew and Ken Makow for pulling it all together. LP on the slamming FOH mix and thanks to Mick for his help with the PA and the recording. Seems for making it sound like a record, which should see the light of day as a live CD to be released around the same time as the DVD.
Jeff and Scott for their gracious hostessness, who knows maybe again at the end of the year??? Anyway, it was great to see all the 8-heads out in full force, rocking out. We tried to play alot of stuff that didn't get much airtime, back in the day. We are ironing out tech issues with the site, but I promise to get all those juicy old demos available soon.

Been along time since we rock n' rolled - 3-Apr-2004
Wow. I forgot how much work this all was. Having an original band...bein' all serious...tryin' to MAKE IT in the bizness. Well, we have pulled together the Sect. 8 reunion admirably well despite the fact that no one has any TIME. Rehearsal went better than expected and we are happy to anounce that not only will there be a live album recorded that night but also video will be shot for a DVD. Pretty cool, eh?? In the meantime, I am still working on solo shit (that god forsaken TIME thing again), jumping technological hurdles galore and playing a ton of gigs with Blasted. Also lots of ancillary recording projects to pay the bills....Be sure to check out the fun new "Quotes" section which features random spewage from some of my favorite scholars. See y'all soon....

Now we're cooking with Helium - 3-Apr-2004
1st and foremost...Thanx to everyone who came down to Whiskey for my acoustic show!! It was a fun time and got a pretty good recording, from which I will post some Mp3's in the new audio section that'll be up in a few days!!! Definately had some superstars out that night. Anyways, the Sect.8 reunion is official, so save yer pennies and take the next day off from work, it's gonna be a doozy. Talk to y'all soon, Love, J-Triple Jizzle

Saddle UP!! - 3-Apr-2004
As you can see...the wormhole has once again swallowed up my blogs...making me look like a NON-updating, lazy asshole. I will, however, prove this cocky piece of server software wrong!! Good news!! The aforementioned Sect.8 re-union show has become a reality. We have at least picked a date...Thurs, April 29th @ Whiskey Bar in Hoboken. Other details will be smoothed out. We will be doing quite a long set with material from throughout our illustrious and profitable career. We will also be doing a webcast and recording of the show for our out of state and country folks! Work has started on the J3 solo record as release details are being solidified...one way or another it will get out. Maybe even some shows, who the hell knows??? Also doing some more writing with T.Lee as he gears up for a new record. It's all so crase...check back...should have some MP3's up soon, Peace Out, Kids!!!

(Random Snapshots) "I Don't think so Dude..." - 19-Sep-2004
Bartender: "I'll have you thrown out on your ass!"
Negotiator:"I don't think so dude!"
Bartender: "I'm calling security, and they're gonna throw you out on your ass!"
Negotiator:"I don't think so dude!"
And so it went. Security got called. Security arrived. Fischer-Spooner
played their hit single. We got thrown out. Right upstairs to our own private room in the Foundation Room's bar. Free drinks on the manager of HOB (who incidentally, was managing Billboard Live in Miami when we had come through on tour). Eventually half of LA found their way into the room as Tila danced and pranced and we tried to figure out our XM radio satellite interface(difficult at this stage of the game). Suddenly, an adjacent door flung open, 6 or so 50+ year old men surrounded by 18 year old girls...ah, a meeting of the Greek mob! What a great night cap! Of course, Tommy becomes the
guest of honor and is strongly encouraged to "Keep doing good for the Greeks!!!"...which he does to this day. We needed to get back to T.Rose!!! and make our escape. Who knew what time it was...and who cared??? Outside, T.Rose is ready with the stretch and has found a new girl, already working the corner. We pile in, after declining to give a girl and her wasted bar-star boyfriend a lift to Long Beach(about 45 minutes in the wrong direction). Whew!!! Made it! Home at last. Haven't slept in like 36 hours! We manage to convene for one last Jager shot and then...UnConcho!!!

(Random Snapshots) OUCH. - 4-Apr-2004
As one can well imagine, getting up the next day was pretty rough. Only a T.Lee cappucino could save the day. Anthony(author of "Whatever you say I am- The Life and Times of EMINEM) tried to sell me on a Jager-Cappucino but I wasn't buying. Off we go to pick up the kids @ school in Malibu. I needed some razors so we stopped in briefly at Albertson's on PCH. As I got out of the truck, I noticed a very familiar face. Yup...that's OZZY...and that sure looks alot like Sharon. I ran back to the truck. "Dude, it's Ozzy and Sharon!!!" Tommy had just been on The Sharon Osbourne show the week before so there was much to talk about. Having not made any recent TV appearances, I went in to get my razors. Back to the house, it was pool time...where the Lee brothers see how many times they can make J3 retrieve the Nerf football from the cactus and shrubbery before either he gives up or suffers major flesh wounds.
Then it was on to the project of tranferring my pre-recorded audio files (scratch tracks for the drum tracking sessions) from Logic Audio to Pro Tools. Neither of us had ever done this before, and as a result, it took 4 hours out of our lives!!! Satisfied that it was now done and backed up and we were ready to go for tomorrow's session, Tommy decided he wanted to experiment with some programming on the tracks that I already had. Fuck Yeah, I says I says!!
